This Hong Kong style french toast is a rendition of the deep fried classic that is made in Hong Kong. With the addition of dulce de leche in the middle this treat is perfect for weekends!
3 thick slices Texas Toast, milk bread, or brioche bread
3 Tbsp. Crunchy Peanut Butter
2 Tbsp. Dulce de Leche
Sweetened Condensed Milk
Directions
Start by spreading your peanut butter on two of the three slices of bread. Spread on the dulce de leche on top of that, and stack them all up into a french toast tower.
Whisk your eggs with the nutmeg. Add in a splash of milk or cream if you like.
Heat your skillet with nonstick spray or a pat of butter. While it is heating, dip your french toast-peanut butter-dulce de leche stack in the egg mixture, thoroughly.
Place your stack in your heated pan, and let brown thoroughly on all four sides.
Serve immediately, drizzling plenty of sweetened condensed milk on top.
